    Wes Montgomery's last album for Verve (other than an exciting collaboration with Jimmy Smith) is a so-so orchestral date featuring arrangements by Don fibkindsacodeggoo.cabpocommatamolobsbucseoprejresku.co material (which includes "Sunny" and "California Dreaming") is strictly pop fluff of the era and the great guitarist has little opportunity to do much other than state the melody in his trademark octaves.

    I have a sentimental attachment to this recording by Wes Montgomery. I bought the LP when it came out in or 66, everytime I play it, it takes me back to that era of recording. It is heavily orchestrated by Don Sebesky, but it does not obscure the unique sound produced by Montomery. I Love his rendition of "Sunny" and "California Dreaming"/5(49).

    While this is one of the best Easy Listening albums of the s, Montgomery's brilliance as a jazz guitarist makes this a must for jazz fans as well. The title tune and "Sunny" were both hits for Wes, while the torch song "Oh, You Crazy Moon" beautifully displays the .
