Sep 02,  · The entire album for the most part entered Overplay Hell decades ago. But I still enjoy all of the music. "Baba O'Riley" is timeless and prophetic. "My Wife" may be Entwistle's best composition. Townshend always flashed genius from the beginning, but this album is an explosion/5().

Nov 07,  · One of the defining albums of 70s hard rock from one of the 60s most successful bands, the original album includes some of The Who's best-known work, such as the anthemic "Baba O'Riley" and "Won't Get Fooled Again", the by turns sorrowful and angry "Behind Blue Eyes", and perennial favorite "My Wife"/5(K).

"The opening track on 's Who's Next, "Baba O'Riley" used to be a very serious song that denounced the Woodstock concert as a "teenage wasteland," paid musical tribute to an avant-garde composer (Terry Riley), and based the chords of its glittering synthesizer part (B alternating with A) on the holy name of Baba (as in Mehr Baba, Townshend's.

Who's Next is the fifth studio album by English rock band the fibkindsacodeggoo.cabpocommatamolobsbucseoprejresku.co developed from the aborted Lifehouse project, a multi-media rock opera written by the group's Pete Townshend as a follow-up to the band's album fibkindsacodeggoo.cabpocommatamolobsbucseoprejresku.co project was cancelled owing to its complexity and to conflicts with Kit Lambert, the band's manager, but the group salvaged some of the songs, without the connecting.
